I found some french tarragon at our local garden center.  You know I snatched it up for my garden.  I also got a small fushia and a lemon licorice.  I love garden centers.

Monday I added more sunflowers to the garden and then planted out my seeds for yellow squash, basil, hale's best jumbo cantalope, edisto 47 (small muskmelon), and replanted some beans that had died.  I also transplanted 3 more tomatoes to replace dead ones.

I started a new thread for my weed-free method over here.  If you're interested.

Tonya, do you always plant the same type of tomato or do you change up?

I think it was the cold that killed my cucumber plants.  I can't imagine anything else doing it.  When it stops raining I'm going to put out a few more.

My blueberry plants have berries on them.  They are still green at this point but they look like they are going to be nice big ones.  I'm excited.

That is awesome, Tammy!!  I love blueberries.  You'll have to let me know what sort of yield you get off the plants.

one has produced quite a few.  The other has put more growth into making branches.  Maybe that will be good for next year.

Tonya, your garden is big to say the least.  What do you do with the kale?

Your garden is looking great this year Tonya.  I see what you mean by space between the rows.  Good plan!

We are all under the same stars, therefore we are never far apart.

I re-planted the cucumbers again last night.  We'll see.  I've never had cukes die before and now it's happened twice.  I bought them at different places so I don't think it was the plants.  This morning before work they were still alive.

Sorry I haven't answered the questions as of yet.... I have been BUSY!
Sheri- I usually have Romas and generally Better boy(the two I have this year) and a cherry or two. Last year I planted about 10 different kinds and am satisfied with the romas and BBs. As for the kale- I cook it like collards or eat it in a salad. It has a bit of a bite, so the kids don't care for it much, but I love it!!

Right now- the weeds are growing a lot. The rest of the garden looks good, too, but between work and family- the garden is suffering with the weeds. We are already picking peppers(for about 3 weeks now), sugar snap peas, kale, broccoli, cukes, zukes, squash, and lettuce. Soon tomatoes will be ready to pick and corn will be ready soon also. The beans are blooming and so are the butterbeans. Onions are being smothered by weeds, but are about 18 inches tall. Guess I better find some time to do some weeding soon.....
