My Blackberries rippen last month.  And the animals have cleaned them all off of the bushes.

I saw a bunch in the stores in June - but at $5.99 for a half pint, I couldn't bring myself to buy them.  Hopefully we'll get another crop here shortly!!

Absolutely true, blackberries and blueberries are both priced out of my range.  That's why I kept the blackberries and planted the blueberries.

I found some blackberries (a ton, actually) at the La-De-Dah grocery store.  And they were only $2.99 for 6 oz which is crazy low for here.  They are usually 5.99.  Pretty stoked.  I'm gonna make me some ice cream tonight!

oh that sounds good.  and sounds like i need to make some cobbler.  all i have are blueberries in the freezer, but that would work.

Blueberry cobbler is mighty good, Jen.  My favorite is peach cobbler, though.  :wink5:

This is why i grow berries and freeze and can or go to a close by berry farm and freeze and can. :D that is sooooo much money for berrys that grow wild! I will not buy them either when they are that much!

I went out last night to check all my vine berries...the only ones not affected by that nasty bug are the raspberries.  :eek:
Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground
