Meet Corey...
« on: Jun 13, 2009, 09:35:33 PM »
The newest resident of our household

He is a moluccan cocatoo.  :grinnnn: He needed a quiet home, and is doing well here.

Oh wow!  He sure is one pretty bird!  If you keep collecting animals - you're going to need to open a petting zoo!

Oh my. Is he pink or orange? :giggle:

Sounds like you have been doing some more rescue work. Great, Sarah!

He's a very peach color, but I call him the big pink bird.  :grinnnn: They say these birds have the intelligence of a toddler, and so far I have to agree. He knows right from wrong, but sometimes can't help himself. He can (and does!) open his doors if they are not padlocked shut.

He spends most of his day outside his cage, only locked up at night or when everyone is gone.

He is beautiful!  Love the peachy color of his feathers.  Does he try and go outside?  Are his wings clipped so he cannot fly away?  Oh and is your house quiet??? :grinnnn:

He has been outside when Mike goes out. His wings are clipped, but even if they were not, he's really really bad at flying, at least for now.

And, amazingly enough, unless someone rings the doorbell my house is very quiet. All I can hear right now is the pump running on the saltwater tank. It's like that most of the day. Even the chickens in the backyard are not allowed to fuss for no reason.

How nice.  The power was out in our neighborhood the other day and it was sooooo quiet.  When it all came back on I was just shocked at how much runs consistently here in the house.

He sure is a beautiful bird. Is that an orb in the first picture with him or just something hanging on the wall?
