My Lastest Project
« on: Apr 29, 2007, 07:23:45 PM »
I use to like to do wood crafts, but I have been away from it for a long time. However, I had some left over scraps of deck boards and decided to make a bird house planter.

Dianna and Patti have been asking for pictures so here it is. This is the view from the front.

That is so pretty, Aunt Bonnie! When are you going to make one for me?  :D

                        ME too!

Bonnie, that creation is marvelous! I love it, I love it, I LOVE it!
I think I'll drag out the scrap wood & steal your idea, to make a mailbox holder!  (In my spare time, of course!) The neighbors & I have 6 mailboxes down the road a bit, & I've ...nudged it enough times with my side mirror, that it's all getting wobbly now! I'm sure that nobody knows who's doing that... unless they've noticed the gouges on the back of my mirror! (I'll just paint everything on though, to avoid tempting the neighbor kids.)

Anyhow, I wanna see more of the crafty things you've done! Nice job!

Thanks Patti, I have enough stuff to help Dianna make one too. I guess that's all I'll be doing for awhile.
Gotta' keep up with the grass and weed eatin'.

Bonnie

Oh, help yourself to the idea.

Now that is one great looking bird house planter.  The artist work is impressive also.  Course I always knew you were an artist.  Dianna too.

Thanks Patti, I have enough stuff to help Dianna make one too.

We might have to take some pics of that.  Dianna is crafty but I haven't seen her with too many saws or drills, etc.

I have my own tools and he has his. I didn't want to have to scrounge around looking for the right bit or blade so I have my own.
Now his do get used more than mine, that is true. But I can do most of my own stuff. Not as many honey-do's that way.

Jim, your next project might be building Dianne a shed for her saws and crafts. I'm sure she could fill it up.

Bonnie, that is beautiful!  What a cute idea!  ;)  Is it just a planter or can the birds use it? ???

I think it looks pretty darn good to me.

Did you do that all by yourself or did you have some help?  Looks better than the job those yoyos did on my back porch.  :Vent:

Can't wait to see it up close.

Gosh Bonnie, I thought you've been down with bronchitis! What do you do when you're feeling good?

I move mountains, Patty.

I did it mostly by myself, Jim. Maryann helped a little. We still got to put the door knobs on. hint hint

You did great.  I told Dianna; "Nothing left now but the door knobs".  Guess we will get that done the last week in June.  She said we also need to brace the pool deck up.  We can hopefully knock that out on the 30th.

Here is my latest project. It is a tote bag for Dianna's karaoke stuff. I kinda sorta messed up, but she will have to remember that it's the thought that counts and I darn sure thought I could have done it better.
