I wish James was that easy to please. You got lucky there, Sheri.

Neither of my husbands has ever complained about what I do or do not cook.

Mine is just happy that I do cook. I have had some experiments go bad that Jim ate anyway, but when I asked if he would ever like me to try that particular recipe again, he would 'fess up and tell me he would rather I didn't. :giggle:

That is good, Sheri and Dianna.  Don't get me wrong...James doesn't complain too much but he definitely likes to eat a home cooked meal.

We had shrimp quesadillas and spanish rice.

I googled it and found that you can use pork in it. I think I would like that better than chicken. Sounds good... :licklips:

We had burgers for lunch at the "Five Guys Hamburgers" place at Pier Park. $15 for 2 burgers 1 ff and 2 drinks. But it was worth it. Everything from scratch and only what you want on it (and anything you want on it without xtra chg). Sure was good.

Dinner will be leftover stroganoff, much later, as we snacked on the little totinos snacks when we got home and I just ate icecream. :giggle:

I used to feed that to my kids. Its ok and I can still eat it once in a while.  I haven't decided what's for dinner yet. I burned myself with lunch today and am not anxious to get around the oven just yet. lol.

I need to make a meatloaf. Haven't had that in ages. And it sure sounds good. But not tonight.

I am so glad they worked for you, Jess. And that you liked them. Did Tristen eat any?

i don't know.  kate was pretty picky.  she was all about texture, smell, color, and name.  and went through phases.  there was the ketchup on everything phase.  then the no ketchup on the table at all phase.  nothing green.  carrots had to be raw.  corn was the only yellow, and only on the cob.  and on and on.

We went to South of the Border for dinner tonight.  I ordered mahi mahi tacos which were so-so.  I really liked their chips and salsa, though.  If only I could sit there and eat the free stuff all day.

I kept telling my kids, it isn't free. It is complementary. It comes when you purchase a meal or sometimes a drink. Those sugar cubes are for coffee or tea not to put in your pocket for later.
That being said, I have been to places where I could live on their comp stuff,  shrimp in the shell, all kinds of lovely bread and butter, chips and salsa, etc. Lovely stuff and sometimes hard to eat your dinner after.
