I made the bacon wrapped smokies sprinkled in brown sugar for an appetizer at Thanksgiving.   They were a huge hit and were excellent!!!  I thought they were good right away but were even better after they sat in the crockpot for a couple hours on low.  Yummy!

Yes, when I do pigs in a blanket, it is with smokies. I've been wanting to try the bacon wrapped smokies, but never seem to have both smokies and bacon at the same time. lol

Pigs in a blanket is something I haven't made in years.  Tristen is not a big bread fan so I'm not sure if he would like them or not.  I will have to try it one of these days.

Jenn, I cooked them in the oven first and then put them in the crock pot on low.  I will post the recipe.

Of course, you have to bake both of those little smokie recipes.  Just so I'm clear.

Tonight we're having baked potatoes with butter, sour cream, cheddar cheese, bacon and anything else fattening and delicious that I can find to throw on them.

I love baked potato night. I stuff mine with ham, swiss, mushrooms and bacon.  :542: Darn it...now I'm craving one.

Tonight will be tacos, chips n salsa, and panna cotta for dessert.  :licklips:

Last night we had tacos and spanish rice.  Tonight I mixed together the leftover taco meat and spanish rice and put it over the top of some tortilla chips and melted some cheese over the top.  This is usually what I do with our taco leftovers and it seems to work for everyone at our house.

We called those American tacos, Jess. And then later nachos made it on the market, and then taco salads. It all works.
I just opened a can of chili and had it with Fritos. I kept it easy as it was just me.

Tonight I was going to fix tomato soup and grilled cheese, however, I had a whole large cheese pizza in the fridge from Monday night's meeting.  The ugly thing stared at me and finally I decided the only good thing I could do with it was pair it with tomato soup!  It's kinda like a grilled cheese.  But, seriously, a cheese pizza is worthless to me.  Absolutely worthless.

Yum Sarah... those look good.  I want lasagna.  We are having fish sticks and tater tots.   Leftover spaghetti if anyone wants that instead.

We are all under the same stars, therefore we are never far apart.
