Hello my name is Ernie
« on: May 06, 2007, 03:02:11 PM »

Hello my name is Ernie. I just got here to my new daddy's place. My old people got this new human baby and didn't want me and my kitty anymore. Does anyone know where they took my kitty ?  :'( I love my kitty and she loves me  :'( :'(. My new home has a lot of other animals around has 3 other grown dogs. Spotted dog is the oldest and daddy said is in charge of the pack under him. Then there is Mimi daddy calls her sissie and Hunter he looks more like a rat then a dog but he is nice to me . Allie has babies she has already given away she is nice but a little itch (if you knoow what I mean). Then there is three birds Wolfman (some name for a bird) he whistles all the time. Gertrude she is old and just sits then Trent he is a loud mouth also two creatures that daddy calls Iguana's in A big cage boy they look tough. And three sugargliders that are asleep and come out to play at night. So tonight when everyone is asleep I will play with them. Also here I can go outside and stay outside all day if I want to. I just slipped up and gave my new daddy a big sloppy kiss right in the smacker my other people didn't let me kiss them if anyone see's my kitty please tell her where I am. I am sure my new daddy would find a place for her. He wouldn't have to get her any food he already has three birds for her to eat.

This is me and my old owner that doesn't love me and Kitty anymore. We lived in this apartment and could not go outside.

I am glad I got a new home just miss my kitty so bad.  :'(

Well hello Ernie. Sure glad you found a wonderful place to live. And to get to go outside and run! Must be so exciting for you. Sorry about your kitty. I am sure she found a nice home too.  You are going to love being at jv's. He will be a great daddy. Just ask the others, they'll tell you!
Dear Lord, On this day, please wrap your arm around my shoulder and keep your hand over my mouth.  Amen

Hi Ernie, I'm so glad to met you!  You are such a handsome fellow, and I'm sure your daddy is very proud of you. I know that he loves all his critters very much, so you will get a lot of attention and love.  Ernie, I'm so sorry I can't tell you where your kitty is, but I don't know either.  :(  I'm sure she is missing you very much too!  :( Boy, it sounds like you will have plenty of friends to keep you company at your new home.  Enjoy your new abode!  :)

Hi, Ernie! It is a pleasure to meet you...

Whether you know it or not, you have lucked up by being traded in for a two-legged kid. :)  Your dad is the greatest!

I am sure that you will love having the room to just roam and ramble outside. Apartment living is not the best for pets. They can't get outside to play as freely as they could in their "own" yard!

I am sure you miss your kitty. I know your daddy would find a place for her in his family, but I don't think he would appreciate her eating his feathered babies. I think he would rather buy her some food... ;)

Before long, you will forget all about the people who didn't love you "enough" and will fit right in with the rest of your siblings. I am sure you will have a lot of lessons to learn in how to treat each one in order to get along, but you look smart enough to figure it out! I am so glad your new daddy found you...

Hope to hear more on how you are adjusting to your new life soon. I know you will love it!

Keep getting knocked off for some reason will try this again

Thanks everyone for welcoming my newest baby. Ernie is 3 years old and very sweet and gentle he loves everything. I had a talk with all my other dog's before he got here to remind them how hungry and homeless and unloved they were before they came here. They all welcomed him in dog fashion even the neighbors dogs welcomed him. He acts like he is looking for something I figure it is his cat as they were together all their lives. He just seemed to fit right in he runs all over all the time seldom walks. He loves the yard and can't believe he can go out be his self he stays out most of the time. This afternoon I had him come in he jumped up in my chair and gave me a big slobbery sluurrrp right in the face. He has never had treats before so didn't know what to do when I handed out the nightly treats. Also gave them left over bread he wouldn't eat it smelled it but would not eat it the others did so he will after a while and he gets use to things. He is at my feet now which Allie does not like him near me. He is just as sweet and laid back as he looks too.
About the time I hit post Ernie sat up and started talking to me and shaking his head gave me a big sloppy kiss again the rolled over wanting his belly rubbed. Him and Allie have been rolling and playing since I brought them in. I already see his personality and it is great.

Well Jimmy, I think you have picked quite a unique way of introducing your new baby, Ernie to everyone.  It was perfect.  I read it over twice and for some reason it really seemed to me that Ernie was telling his story.  Now I know why you are called the "Critter Keeper".  You have a special connection that just comes right out in your conversation.

Now the only problem I see is lots of the other members are going to want to continue these conversations with Ernie.

Hi there Ernie! Wanna play peek-a-boo?

You are one lucky pup! Most dogs (& other critters) only think they're loved, but that's only cuz they never met The Critter Whisperer!  You couldn't have asked for a better home, even if those other people would have ever bothered to listen to you!

Your new Daddy mentioned the neighbor lady in another thread... maybe your kitty is over there. (He didn't say if she took it in or not, so I'm not sure.)   At any rate it sounds like you're happy & I know that you have plenty of company to play with, so just settle in & enjoy life with your new family. (I don't know about playing with those lizards though... I think you'd be better off just enjoying the outside & sticking with the other critters that say "woof"!)

Don't worry about Trent squawking all the time, cuz he hollers just to hear how loud he can get... (especially when Dad gets on the phone!) Just look at him & holler back "Pipe down", like you mean, it & he'll go off & think about it for a while!

I'm looking forward to hearing more about how you're adjusting to your new surroundings, & am just as happy as I can be that you're a part of our forum family!

Patty the people next door doesn't have the cat I only heard about them through my granddaughter who lives in west Fort Worth. I have never seen or spoken with the people who had Ernie and the cat . The way I understand it they already got rid of the cat before I knew about them. Ernie met me at the gate when I came in and wanted a hug which he got he was happy to see me. Last night he didn't know what to do at bed time he would not  come in and sleep next to Spot beside the bed. They all have their spots they sleep in Mimi has a pillow beside the head of my bed I tuck her in every night the rest just sleep beside or under the bed. If I have to get up I am real careful not to step on one of them. Thanks again to everyone for the warm welcome you gave Ernie.
