If you are just making a shell of a bear and then stuffing the bear I think you may have a problem with trimming your curves. Sew like normal, but before you turn it, simply put a couple of cuts in each curve - but don't cut through your stitches. Pinking shears do a great job - I've been told - for making corners and curves perfect. I don't have them, so I don't know. And, of course, be sure to pin carefully!
