Would Marquetry Work
« on: Feb 02, 2010, 07:22:32 AM »
I have been unhappy with the faux wood in the trailer since I moved in.  It's one of the things I don't like.  And I had pretty much decided to paint over them even though I don't like paint on wood either.  And then I was skimming through my craft book and saw a section on Marquetry.  Would that be the answer to my prayers?

Can the wood be glued to the beveled edges?  Would it even stick to the fake stuff that's on them now or would it pull that stuff off?  Anyone know anything about this?

this is a marquetry society that has instructions and ideas.  I wouldn't venture into this but you're a better craftsman than I.  Do you have tools for this type of thing?
