It leaves an after taste but I can't say it's terrible.  I'd eat it again with the cereal and walnuts.  I think I will like it better with real berries and not color stuff.

I found organic baby yogurt in my store. It is full fat but I'm sure it is all pasteurized and homo milk and such. I tried to get Ted to eat some and he went screaming out of the room. (not really screaming but an emphatic "no", and he left) So I ate one, blueberry. It was pretty icky. And if it had any blueberries in it I couldn't tell. If I had added even one to the little cup it would have colored it more.
I also bought full fat plain organic yogurt to try in/on different things. I'm thinking of making my own salad dressing or dip with some of it. And I may be able to get Ted to drink some in a smoothie.

Sheri, I eat about a cup a day.  I don't know if that is not enough, too much or just right. I think Sarah said she tries to get a cup a day in.  Hopefully she comes along and gives you a better answer.

I would like to say that the point of the 'real' foods is not low fat or fat free. It bucks the common health experts out there in that. It is about the least commercially processed foods you can find. Whole milk, preferably raw. Real butter with the least processing. Sea salt that is just dehydrated.
The thinking is that these things are full of more usable things for your body with fewer bad things. You need fats to use fat soluble vitamins. And the best fats for that are real milk fats and meat fats. Most things on our shelves are very processed to alter much of the good out of them.
Milk from a healthy cow and stored in clean containers should be pretty safe to use. It is healthier for you than pasteurized and homogenized (processed) stuff. And low fat or fat free is even further processed.
I use 4% milk (or half and half) and real butter. I feel better since I moved to it after years of low fat and a 'healthy' margarine. I have not gained weight. I don't know what my cholesterol numbers are but my blood pressure maintains pretty well. (unless I get sick, then it rises). I am trying to use more things like fish oil and such to keep my cholesterol numbers down in a more natural way as I age.

I've lost weight, and I rarely feel the CRUSHING desire for sugar. I had a HUGE sweet tooth.

Now...yogurt. I get a cup a day in. Sheri, can you find vanilla? You could add fruit to it if you cannot find plain.

Tina, try making a dressing...I do a ranch type often, and then use it in place of miracle whip/mayo in tuna and such.  :ThumbUp:

I might have overlooked the regular yogurt because I wasn't feeling well but the fully loaded isn't up front at Harris Teeter.   I thought it might upset my stomach but it didn't.

Your best option, and cheapest by far is to make your own. If you are intrested, I can find you a good link or explain my method.

Uhhh...I open the spice drawer and start dumping. Adjust to taste.   :Blush: Really depends on what I'm going for...

This week I wanted a really powerful ranch style. I used garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, red salt, chives, raw garlic, celery seed and a hint of cayenne pepper.

Soak the oats and the flour in the buttermilk. If you don't use it tomorrow, it will wait until the next day in the fridge.

I'm not the one to ask about fennel...I hate the taste in all forms, including candy. Is it something you like?
