Very pretty. How tall is that?
I love cannas. I am going to have to replant a bunch around here. I did lose most of mine.

thank you.  it is the tallest of the bulbs that i got.  maybe just over knee high?  mid thigh at most.

the other one that bloomed first (that i didn't get a picture of) was shorter, maybe just below the knee.  i got those from my uncle when i was in fl in sept.  they were better than waist high at his house, so i was surprised at how short they are here.  but his are in great big clumps.  maybe 3 feet across.

Love your canna.  I actually bought one yesterday.  It isn't in bloom which is just as well or it never would have fit in the car lol.  When it does bloom I'll post pictures.

so i don't have a good picture, but that canna has the nicest orange stripes in the throat of the flowers.  i might try to get a picture later this evening.  if the rain stops.

Lovely. Your garden is growing beautifully.
Are the deer staying away this year?

Are the deer staying away this year?

So far we haven't had problems with the deer getting into the flower gardens, but they aren't bothering the veggie garden so much this year. Jim has the electric fence up and he staked out some pie pans in the middle and in the corners of the veggie garden and the corn patch. They make lots of noise in the wind...

We noticed, however, deer prints in the sunflower patch yesterday and the melon patch the other day. Jim will be putting out a couple of pie pans in there and the melon patch soon. :wink5:

I love the color of the canna blossoms you have.  They are really lovely.  So are your glads.  I'm hoping my glads make it.  I've got my fingers crossed.
