It seems Sarah thinks I'm "unusual." Is that better than crazy?

Mr. Rape is down there working today. I'm gonna have to try and sneak down and get my makeup on because I don't want to scare him away.

Mr. Rape told me that he's not sure who he's gonna miss most when I go back to work, me or my yapping dog. He's so funny. We hardly ever speak. I do my best to stay out of his way. I offer him something to drink everyday and he always says no thanks. Johnny said last night that we're gonna have to figure out what else he can do because he doesn't want to loose him.

He has changed the woodwork in the entire house, taken a door out that went no where (what's that all about), replaced picture molding which we at first thought neat because it was original with crown molding that looks a lot better, changed a popcorn ceiling to a sheetrock painted ceiling, redone a light fixture, fixed the stairs that Bill McBride screwed up, insulated in places, painted and I'm sure that's not all. I love him.

We've thought about asking him about the greenhouse and we might before it's over.

I don't know why whomever did it put that popcorn ceiling in. It was in only 1 room in the entire house. Maybe in their mind they were dressing things up. Who knows but it's gone now.

I have popcorn ceiling in one room and really, really hate it. John put it in on someone's recommendation. I am glad he did not put it everywhere.

popcorn ceilings were all the rage for quite a while. supposedly they were good for energy, didn't show dirt, etc. and were a mark of "professional installation" because you had to have the machine to blow the stuff up there. i hated it in the houses where i've had it and am grateful that this house has texture but not popcorn.

We have popcorn ceilings and I hate them. They need to be painted but I don't want to do it. I wonder if they can just knock that popcorn down?

Yes, it needs to be scraped off, Jessica. And is a job I'm not looking forward to whether or not I do it or have it done.

My ceiling is not "popcorn" but "textured". It's better than popcorn, but still would rather it not be there. But you make sacrafices living in a manufactured home. It is drywall but it helps to cover the seams better or something. So they say, but not true because the texture has fine cracks between the drywall panels.

I had to look up... the ceiling in here is textured. I am pretty sure none of ours are popcorn. Think I would have noticed that.

We were at a friends house for lunch today and he told us that he had tried to paint a popcorn ceiling in his mothers house and it made a mess. He couldn't get the paint even and the popcorn kept coming off in the brush. He ended up scraping it off. You just spray it with water and scrape it off. Jessica if you decide to paint it you may want to call a professional.
