Triss, that was Traci DePree.  Her daughter is in Tristen's grade and she has been going and talking to his class about being an author.  He came home all excited and couldn't wait to tell me all about it.  He told her that I have read a lot of her books.  Cute.

I'm going to sound like the group nerd.

I'm reading and enjoying "The Complete Book of Bulbs," by Rockwell and Grayson.  On the side I'm reading a book about Gypsies.  It's not all that great the author is rather egocentric but I just have a voracious curiosity.

Yes... that is right... her books were really good.  I think I added 7 of Kristen Hannah's books to my hold list at the library and then ran out of space.  I need to run by there today as all of my books are due today.

duh, people give me gardening books all the time and while I love them and they're always so pretty I seldom read them.  I use them as a resource sometimes but unlike you, I don't know where and how to plant stuff.  I just plant stuff where I think it looks nice and hope it survives.  Consequently, I have a lot of stuff that does poorly and it either ends up dying or I have to move it - remember the lilac bush.

I also want to ready Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah.  Eventually I will get to all the ones I want to read.  I think I have a stack of about 7 or 8 at home that I haven't read but plan to.  I keep adding more.  And then my friend who likes to read keeps adding more to my list.  Her and I have been trading books too.  She has 3 of mine right now.

I only have 2 here right now and they are both a series we own that Dan had read but I missed.  Most of my books that I want to read are on hold and waiting to come in from other libraries and in many cases I am many people down on the list.  That is the only trouble with reading good series is that when a new book comes out, everyone wants it and the waiting list gets very long at the library.

I bet.  I need to be better about utilizing our library.  I buy a lot of my books or borrow from friends.

We buy a lot as well but I sure do love going to the library to borrow them...  we really need more bookshelves.

I used to buy books too but now I mostly get them from the library.  I can't get too far behind in what I want to read if I have to take it back to the library.  Most of the time I have to pay a late fee though.

Did we discuss Water for Elephants?  I enjoyed that a lot.

We have not, Sheri.  Or not that I remember anyway.  I will have to look that one up.

I went and read the reviews on Amazon.  I will have to find that one.  Sounds good.

I finished Firefly Lane.  It was a good book but a tearjerker.  Thought I would throw that out there for those that don't like those kind.

Now I am reading Sarah's Key.  So far so good.

I should have said that Sarah's Key is by Tatiana de Rosnay.

I ordered in a bunch of them and have 5 or 6 sitting up on my shelf now.  This was the oldest one that I started with.

I'm going to check out Their Eyes Were Watching God.

Jessica, I didn't cry reading Firefly Lane but I don't cry much at all.

I cry with movies and books. I am not one to cry over little things that happen in my real life but I do shed a good tear every now and then. I couldn't stop crying reading the end of that book.  Good thing I was home and by myself. :giggle:

Johnny says I'm too mean to cry.  He cries watching Little House on the Prairie.
