50 pounds of green beans? Sounds like you will be as busy as I was while canning tomatoes...:)

I haven't canned any beans or peas yet. I have been freezing mine since the tomatoes ran me ragged. I will be looking forward to learning how to do that in case I run out of room in my freezer... :wink5:

I used to can beans and I didn't add salt or anything else.  I seasonsed when I cooked them to eat.

It just occured to me when Mr. Rape gets the back porch done that I'll have a big cabinet that I can put jars of beans in.  Oh boy.  Wonder if Ronnie still has my canner in the attic.  Dianna will you call and ask him for me?

And, if you have a summer like us and everything fails, you will REALLY appreciate any extra you did this year that you can use next year.

It's been an excellent lesson for me.

Yes, I will love those tomatoes come winter time, Tina and Sarah...:)

Great job, Ariel! Hope the beans don't drive you crazy like my maters did me! :laughpound:

Dianna, I expect fresh salsa on the 14th.

Ariel, good for you.  Have many jars did you end up with?
