It's incredible the size of the pears on the semi dwarf tree. There are only 4 left on the tree but they are really big.

What fruits are you growing? I've got the pears, cherries, plums, blueberries, and blackberries.

I have the patio orange, lime, and lemon trees growing. They are still way too small to put out fruit, but I am looking forward to them...

I only have a mature lemon and naval orange tree. And then several lemon, lime and orange trees that are too young to bear fruit. MY 2 fig trees produce tasteless figs that even the birds don't want. I think gophers took out my large plum and apricot trees by gnawing the roots. I have a loquat and a kumquat that gift me with fruit. And a couple of avocadoes that have never produced.
Native producing trees include elderberry and black walnut.

We have a pear and a cherry tree. They both produced this year but we lost cherries to the birds and the fact that they were too high to reach. The pears are almost ripe. Both trees are in desperate need of pruning which they will get this year.

We have 3 Honeycrisp apple trees but they have not produced yet. Hopefully next year.

We have a couple of apple trees and 1 pear tree that I noticed yesterday is full. We have 2 plum trees that did ok this year. We have 3 fig trees that produce good figs. I only ate a few I pulled off the trees this year because it was too hot and humid to go outside and gather any. We also have 15 pecan trees that I noticed yesterday are loaded. They used to produce every other year but the last 2 or 3 years it's been every year. I have a lemon tree that Dianna sent that is tiny but growing.

I need citrus trees... have loads of room for them to overwinter indoors and great porches to keep them on during the year... adding them to my list.

I have pear apple & cherry, neighbor has pear, apple cherry, peach, plum, blueberry, raspberry and nut trees.(which he says "help yourself"to) We had peach till the last one broke off this past spring with the snow-a-canes. Maybe I'll get anoother.

My aunt used to have a cherry tree. I love eating fresh cherries.

Better start looking for those lemon trees now. They're hard to find.

I so want nut trees. What kind does your neighbor have?

From what I understand avocados the old fashioned kind take 50 years to mature. The newer variety that stay green take about 12 years. I envy you the avocado trees. I love avocadoes.

I'd like to have a miniature clemintine orange tree. But I don't think it would do well. I keep the house kind of cool in the winter.

Well one pear fell from t he tree and another was about to so I picked it. It isn't ripe of course but hopefully it will ripen on my kitchen counter.

Tammy, try placing it in a brown paper bag with an apple. That should help it ripen fast...

Fig trees...had first fruit this year and Hickory nut trees loaded...to hard to shell but the squirrles enjoy them.

I had my first home grown pear and it was wonderful. It was over a cup of pear slices after it was cored and peeled. So it's going to really produce in a few years. There is still one on the tree. I thought the bartletts were the red ones but evidently now. This one was harvestable while it was green. I'll have to remember to harvest at the end of august.

I get so many things confused. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I gave the last one to my neighbor. She is a sweet lady who comes over and visits from time to time.

Our pears are tough. No matter how long I leave them on the tree they never soften up.
