That's a great picture.  I've never noticed a smell around the marigolds.  I know if I want them I have to put them on the far side of the garden because my friend is allergic.  I have some of the french vanilla that I would really like to grow.

YOu can plant them in flower pots an put them anywhere,

i tryed the vanillas one time, didnt do well for me.

Folks back here put them in the garden to control pests.
I grow them yearly, but dont know if they do or not> :ScratchHead:

Yes, they are not pleasant smelling if you cut them or mess with their leaves. But they sure are easy for the most part.

I dislike the smell of Lavendar, but marigolds dont bother me.

My asiatic Lilys are my favorite stink.LOL

I think the Silk Road lily has a fragrance also.

So does my Orange azalia......forgot the name.

Chameleon plant stinks to high heaven when you try to pull it out or cut it. Blech!!
I don't think any other plant smell really bothers me.

I hate it . Sis brought it back from Ohio, an I could of crowned her for that .
Passed it on to 2 of us...All hate it.

I agree stinks like an ole swamp or something.
