I always grow dahlias from seeds. Not many folks will do that. i see now difference .
Tubers die for me.

I am game for any and all seeds anyone is willing to share.  No idea where I will plant everything... I am thinking about container gardening for a while.

Those are very pretty.  I have a brown thumb. I couldn't even successfully grow marigolds  ::)

Do you remember when you planted them?
Some of my lily seeds grow others dont. Take 2 years I think to bloom.

Yes ,

I start mine indoors about 6 weeks before may 30..
YOu would not have to start yours that time in carolinas.

YOu could see them quickly.

Thats great . My friend has one. but her 4 sons built it with their friends. He had a heated garage to build stuff in, an connected the green house to it . She gets excellent results there.  All day sun is a real good thing.
YOu dont need heat unless you going to keep it on cooler days with flowers.

I won't have heat to start with but I will have electricity so I guess I can plug in heaters if I need too.

Cheaper down there.  It is so windy in my yard, a green house would blow over before it got put up.

dodge, my stepdad, who is sweet as can be but not a carpenter, started me one this past winter.  He ended up with a hernia and had to stop.  I'm not glad he had a hernia but I'm glad he had to stop because he was making such a mess.  Mr. Rape is going to have to tear down what he put up and start over.  All he did today was make a supply list.
