I put some out earlier and like you I'm hoping the voles ignore them.  I put daffodils in with the tulips and crocuses hoping for the best.   In another month I'll be moving the irises in the front to the driveway bed.  That should work pretty well.

I haven't even thought about bulbs.  Until it rained the other day I probably couldn't have dug a hole in our har, dry ground to plant anything.

If I can find some blue iris's I'm gonna plant them.

I've started lifting the irises.  I was told I'm alittle late for a good bloom next year but that's ok.  I've filled in the drivway bed and gotten started on the top of the tree bed for the new homes for these.  Part of their function at the top of the tree bed will be to provide more shade for the columbines that are on the shady side.  Of course I'll have to move the columbines down some to get the irises in a good position.  Thank heavens for the 60F temperatures during the day.  Now if I could just oil my joints so it doesn't take until noon to get moving.

I'm lifting them in order to give them away and to transplant them.  I don't have to lift them to overwinter them.  Like you my irises do great pretty much without me doing anything.

Sheri in your climate, you can.  We have to start early to get nice bulbs.

This time was my largest yet. From seeds.
First time seed worked for me.
