Mine is still doing well too Barb. Have dried & drying bunches all over the place and bags full. Don't think I'll run out this winter.

That is so cool.  I just bought seeds and am going to try and grow some indoors over the winter.  I love parsley.

Growing parsley indoors is very easy.  Plant the about 1/4 inch down in potting soil and keep the soil moist until they sprout.

I read somewhere to soak the seeds so I've got them soaking now.  My house just doesn't get much sun.

I have had parsley hitch-hike inside for the winter in the pot of other plants. It seems to do well in southern facing windows.

I'm gonna give it a shot.  I've got dirt in the pot just waiting for the soaked seeds.

Barb

I hang bunches, secured by rubber band on a string strung clothesline style in my front room where it gets no light. Give it plenty of air room. I have also nukedried it. Make a single layer of whatever herb between 2 sheets of paper towel and microwave on high for 1 minute. WATCH it. I did sage and it started to spark & flame. I thought my microwave was done. But its ok. Take the herb and feel it. If it feels dry take it off the towel right away. The moisture from the plant is in the towel, you dont want it to soak back up. If it feels moist nuke for 10 seconds more (repeat if necessary) till dry.

I planted the parsley seeds in a really big pot thinking they wouldn't all come up and thinking I wouldn't have to replant.  Looks like they've all come up and now that the plants are maybe 2 inches high I'm going to have to thin or I'll be replanting till the cows come home.

Question is can I just move what's not thinned out around the pot and plant them a little deeper?

I need to thin because I planted a whole pack of seeds in 1 big pot because I really didn't think they'd come up.  Surprise!!!  I think they've all sprouted.

Sounds like something I would do... :giggle:

Great minds I guess.  I keep saying I didn't think they'd grow.  Goes to show you what I know.
