I asked BG if she knew the name of this flower, & she said, "It looks like a Topic Summary to me"! (She was reading right above the pic, below this reply field!)
Clever kid, huh? :thslap:

I see that it's a succulent, & was thinking that it might be in the Purslane family. Moss Rose (Portulaca) is a lot smaller than your flower, Bonnie, but it sure looks a lot like that.

I'll let you try it out first, Bonnie!

Let us know if it's any good.  (If it turns out to be something you like, maybe you can get Jim to grow a bunch of it, along with all that Okra!)

You know me, Patty. I'm always eating. I have already tasted it and it is YUK. Think I'll stick with the okra.

If the purslane isn't slimy, I think I would rather eat it!  :laugh1: I knew that the poor little plant wouldn't be safe from you until you tried it. Hopefully, it won't have to worry anymore about human snackers, since you didn't like the taste... :D

So has this been positively identified?  I noticed someone mentioned the moss rose or mexican rose which according to what I read is purslane's little sister.  :)
