Looks like a Mandevilla to me...Aunt Bonnie bought one this weekend.
Tropical evergreen vine with clusters of glowing, trumpet like, 2-4 in. flowers appearing among large glossy dark green leaves. Not winter hardy. Needs heat to bloom. Sun
Treat mandevilla vines as annuals in northerly climes. Alternatively, plant mandevilla vines in containers, so that they can be brought inside before the frost. Prune them back so that only about 6" of growth remains, and store them in a cool nook in your cellar (about 55 degrees). Water your mandevilla vines very sparingly during this period. Return the mandevilla vines to your yard when good weather returns.
To assist plant survival during the winter, you may wish to place mulch over the areas in question or plant the flowers in an area away from walls or cement. Additionally, digging up bulbs and roots to overwinter indoors may be preferrable to keeping them in the ground.
