Angel in the pool!
« on: Aug 04, 2007, 11:15:08 PM »
We have been talking about how much Angel loves the pool and now we have proof.  I set up the camera today after we got back from shopping and she had a ball!  She loves being in the water and she isn't afraid of the water at all.

We haven't put the volleyball net up yet.  We would have to figure a way to anchor her boat, but she would be a pretty good player most of the time.

Here's another short video of Angel hitting the ball back with her nose.  Maybe she thinks she is a seal!  :)

This is the last one.  For some reason YouTube wouldn't let me upload all three as one file.  I guess it has something to do with not being a paying member or something.

Here Angel was tired and jumped in to cool off, then started chasing the ball across the pool.

Angel is skinny-dipping! :laugh1:

No wise-cracks about my farmer's tan allowed... :rofl1:

That is just too cute. I love it!  None of my dogs will even go near the pool (except Raphie, but he won't go in, just runs laps around it).
Dear Lord, On this day, please wrap your arm around my shoulder and keep your hand over my mouth.  Amen

What cool videos! I don't think Angel is really a dog at all... she's a FISH ...with legs! :grinnnn:

I don't see a farmer tan either. (I do see a TRACTOR TAN, though!) :wink5:

Is that Angel's new boat, or is that yours?

Tonya, I no longer have a farmer/tractor tan. After spending most of the day out in the pool to try to keep cool, I look more like a lobster! Does Storm run in circles?

Barb, I am surprised that none of your little babies will get in the pool with you, especially with it being so hot lately.

Angel's boat is smaller, Patty, but she has taken over ours now. It is a four man boat or a one fur-baby boat! :laughpound:

The little mess has been in the pool three times today and then cried because we wouldn't let her go out with us the fourth time. She is a handful in the pool because we have to keep our eyes on her. If the boat gets too close to the wall of the pool, I am afraid she might jump over and hurt herself. :SmileyFear:

We are all really enjoying this pool! :grinnnn:

Dianna mentioned in one of the SLs about getting Angel a life jacket.  Here it is:

Notice the handle on her back.  Makes it easy to get hold of her.

Angel sounds like Allie. When Allie heard angel she came running and jumped in my lap barking at Angel sounded like dog stereo. This morning around 2 I put the dogs out.  Allie came back in jumped on my bed and brought me one of her raw hide bones wanting to play. I put the bone back out and made Allie get down of course as soon as I went back to sleep she was on the bed right by me. ;D

Awwe, she looks so cute in that! :Glee: Is she still fighting you when you go to put it on her, or has she figured out by now that it means it's time for a dunk?

Jimmy, I think you need to teach those critters how to tell time!

Patty I think they know how at times. I give them treats at 9 pm every night all I have to say is 8 o'clock they all run to the cabinet and wait for me all jumping and dancing. When Spotted dog was alive I could say us read the bible and he would go to the desk I keep my bibles on. One day  Melissa was here I told her about it she didn't believe me  so she said Spot where is the bible Spot went right to it and looked at her like come on she said she had never seen any dog do that before.

She really doesn't mind the life jacket, Patti, but she prefers skinny dipping! ;)

Jimmy, does Allie like water? Angel loves playing with the hose, too. I know what you mean about them being able to tell time. Angel wants her breakfast first thing in the morning, while Daddy is eating his. She, also, expects to have a Dingo bone every night while we are on the computers...

That's pretty smart, Jimmy! I have a friend who taught her dog to sniff out money. You could mix up all kinds of papers & play money & real money, & she'd root through them all & find the real ones, every time! :wink5:

If you give them a snack at 9PM, why are you telling them it's 8:00?! :thslap: No wonder they're confused! :laughpound:

Yes Dianna she loves water. When I water at night she runs through the stream. When I shower have to fight to keep her out then she dries my left foot only. :grinnnn:
Patty I can tell then it's 8 the will sometimes look at the clock then back and start barking. Had a Boston bulldog the knew the time every night at 9 he would bark at me then look at the clock  then go to the snack bin.

Patty that was a typo in above post I meant to say 9 knot 8

Angel has tried to crawl in the bathtub with me, but I have discouraged that. I let her get in the tub after I get out so she can wash her feet... :D

Funny how they get to be such creatures of habit, isn't it?
