Freshwater tank
« on: Aug 06, 2007, 09:49:15 AM »
I finally got a great pic of my betta. He lives in a 120 gallon freshwater planted tank in my formal living room, along with numerous other fish.

Tank pictures are hard to do, but as i get good ones I will add them here.

That is a very pretty betta fish, Sarah!

Do you have more than just one? Do you keep them separated?  ???

I have heard that they will fight to the death if put in a tank together...

I have only one per tank, Dianna, because they will fight to to death with other male bettas. However, they do just fine in a peaceful tank with other fish, as long as you make sure not to place them with other fin-nipping fish.

Bettas are not meant to live in bowls by themselves. If you get a betta, and put him into a good sized tank with water movement, they become the most beautiful fish. They develop muscle tone, and their fins fill out, and they look like they actually care about life and what is going on around them.
