Here's Tillie
« on: Aug 18, 2007, 12:13:05 AM »
This is a picture of Tillie, my Godkitty!  My friend, who's always been a "dog" person decided to get a cat because it would fit into her lifestyle now.  She lives on the 2nd floor and it would be hard for her to take a dog downstairs and walk it since she has trouble with her legs.  Naturally, with me being a "cat" person, I got drafted into going with her to find a cat to adopt.  :Whis: Well, we spent several weeks going to shelters to try to find the perfect cat.  Finally, we found Tillie!  She's a Mainecoon, five-years-old and nobody wanted her, so my friend decided to take her.  :Yahoo:  She's such a perfect fit for my friend and after two days she acted like she had lived there with my friend all her life.  Of course, I was appointed her Godmother because I was instrumental in her getting Tillie!    :rofl1:  :Whis: By the way, she was left at the shelter because her owner was sent overseas and couldn't take her.  :Crybaby2:

Here's a picture of Tillie!  She's one BIG cat!!!

Well she looks like she owns the house.  :grinnnn:

That happens quite a lot with the military.  At one time if you took a pet overseas, it had to be quarantined for a minimum of 6 months and it was cost prohibitive to do that.

Tillie looks like a happy cat!

Well, being right next to Scott Air Force Base, it does tend to happen a lot in this area.

Tillie IS definitely a VERY happy and pampered cat!      :Whis:

Here's a picture of Tillie sitting up to get her treat!  Actually, she seems to sit up just like a dog.  She really is a smart cat!

For some reason, she reminds me of Garfield! :laugh1:

She is very healthy-looking. I am so glad your friend was able to adopt her. There are so many pets that need homes...

Thanks!  I think she's a beautiful cat, even though I've never really been that fond of long-haired cats. :dunno:
