Crafty painting
« on: Sep 06, 2007, 03:21:37 PM »
Anyone do any paint crafts? {{ahem, Penny, Christy}} Here are a few plaques I did.
PS the pics will get big if you click on them.
This is a small one I still hve for sale at my store

This one needs a quote for the 'field' or birds or something then I can finish it off

I made 3 versions of this one for secret pals in a gift game.

Wrennie, you are quite talented!  How long does it take you to make one of those?

A looong time.  Lots of little dots and dits, dry between layers. That last one took me about a week with dry time. Final coats dry too.

You are very talented, Wrennie, with the plaques. They are very pretty! Do you sell the stuff you make in your shop, too? :grinnnn:

If you hadn't told me that Christy painted that box, I would have thought it was covered in fabric, too. That is some great detail work, Christy! :grinnnn:

Thank you! I do mix some of my handmade stuff into my shop. And list some on etsy for sale. And some are created as gifts.

Christy, that box is beautiful!  If Wrennie had not said it was a hand painted one, I would have never known.  Great work!

Penny just be sure the cardboard is sturdy, like the boxes tou mail stuff in, and pretty thick so the water in the paint doesnt warp them.

What size is the wood one, is it big enough to hold 12x12 scrapbooking papers?  If so where would I find something like that.  I dunno that I would paint it but it would sure make storage easier for me.

the wood and the card bord are about the same size i think 8-9inch square, you can get the cardbord at wallmart for only a 2bucks in the paint section, the wood at either michaels or joanns they do have bigger ones to
