Cold and cloudy here today with rain expected in this afternoon and evening.  I hope the temps stay low so we can get a lil snowfall.

We are all under the same stars, therefore we are never far apart.

Well, it started raining yesterday, and we're still getting a light rain today, but that's great.  ;) We still need all the rain we can get and as long as the temperatures stay above freezing we should be okay.  I still have horrible memories of the Big ice storm we had last year, and I sure don't want to repeat that nightmare.   :yikes:

We got a little rain at Sumter (work) today, but it barely settled the dust.

...one so we can get our taste buds tickled some more!   :yesssss:

I haven't quite figured out how to take a bite out of the weather but I can imagine it would tickle the taste buds.  :SmileyQmarks:

Jim, the other day in one of Sarah's posts, when she was so excited  :Glee: because it was snowing, it brought back so many memories of how we used to go out in the snow and try to catch snow flakes in our mouths when we were kids.  Actually, after having to deal with all the problems  snow brings, I don't get very excited about snow anymore,  :smileyNo:  so I thought I made a comment about "whatever tickles your taste buds" being okay!   :rofl1:

Well we got .39 inches of rain.  It didn't rain any after midnight last night.  Now they are saying we don't have any in the forecast until next Monday.

The temps are really mild also.  50s at night and high 60s during the day.  Looks like we might see some 20s about Tuesday or Wednesday morning next week.

I guess a mild winter is ok with oil prices as high as they are.

We had a pretty nice day with the temperatures in the mid-50's and lots of sunshine, which I was able to enjoy on the breaks between my classes.   :yesssss:  It's 36 outside now, but the wind chill is at 30 degrees.  :( Then starting tomorrow night our nighttime temperatures are dropping below freezing for the next couple of days.  :SmileyFit:

Well, it's beautiful outside today with the temperatures in the upper 50's and lots of sunshine, :Yahoo: but I'm stuck inside trying to get some of these papers graded.   :SmileyFit:

Well, the weather just came on with a freezing rain advisory for us tonight  :SmileyFit: and there's an ice storm warning that's just a little north of us.  :scaredy:  I sure hope it stays up there since this is the first anniversary of our BIG ice storm last year. :Groaner: I'm sure not ready for a repeat performance this year. :smileyNo: Guess I should be really thankful that I don't have school until Monday night.   ;)

Patti, I don't like ice storms, either. If I am skating, I would prefer to do it with rollerskates on, not with a vehicle... :scaredy:

It has been a mild day here today. Beautiful weather for the last day of November.

I was wondering how close you were to the ice warnings I saw on the news Patti.   Stay safe and I hope it is not bad.

We are expecting snow this weekend... hope we actually get it.

Triss, the freezing rain advisory is for us since we're at 27 degrees right now, but the ice storm warning is a little north and west of us at this time.  I'm just hoping it stays north until it gets through our area.

27 sounds like it would produce more snow than ice.  Our outside temp is 31 right now, not a whole lot warmer than you now.

Our weather today is snow.  Here are the birds enjoying a feast and you can see it snowing in the background as well as the white on the ground.  We probably have about an inch now.

Well, I got quite a scare this morning!  :yikes: I went to bed with all the nasty weather advisories in my head, and then I overslept this morning because my alarm didn't go off.  No, big deal since it was Saturday, but when I went in the bathroom and turned on the light,  there was no power!!!  :SmileyFit: Of course, my first thought was a repeat of last year, but when I looked outside there was nothing.  I called the power company and they said the outage temporary and it was back on in about 30 minutes.   :Yahoo: Everything missed us this time!!!  Actually, it sounds like I'm doing better than you are at this time, Triss!   ;)

Oh we are doing great here Patti, for now... it is still snowing but not a whole lot of it is sticking.  It has been so wet that the ground is very slushy.  I am really hoping we get enough snow and it gets cold enough that the kids can play in it tomorrow morning before the rains come and wash it all away.

The forecast is for several inches of rain Sunday and Monday along with widepread flooding due to the snow we have gotten.  This happened to the state last year and so many homes were lost in the rivers.  I am praying that the forecasters are wrong and we do not have near the destructive flooding that we did last year.

We are also expecting strong winds.  I am charging our little battery generator tonight so I can run a light tomorrow or the microwave if we need it.

We are all under the same stars, therefore we are never far apart.

72 here right now low for tonight in mid 60's  Rain missed us outside of a very light mist. Supposed to stay this way until middle of the week then warm up in days and cooler nights around 40 or so. My mother said they had snow in Logan NM then rained today and washed it all away. Ute lake needed it so not so bad . Weather said west and north of us is supposed to get hard freezes and snow probably Oklahoma and Kansas as well as Arkansas.

Actually, Triss, snow is a lot of fun when it doesn't cause any driving problems and I loved playing in it when I was a lot younger. :laughmao: It's  been pretty crazy around here as far weather goes. :nutz: It's 51 degrees outside right now and tomorrow the high is supposed to get up to 59 degrees with showers and wind, but the low tomorrow night is going to be 27 degrees!!!    Really strange!!!   :ScratchHead:

Hey, Jimmy, it sounds like you have spring-like weather where you're at. Can you send some of it up here.  ;)

That is a huge range on the temps, especially this time of year.  The same thing is going on here, 20's tonight and 40's by Sunday.

Yes, Triss, I know and that's what worries me  :scaredy: because when we get these extreme temperature changes I always worry about getting some severe storms.  :SmileyFear:

Yep and we are all bracing for the same here.  Not the ice type storms, but all of the rain after the snow.

Triss, we're getting some rain now, but nothing is predicted like the amount you're going to get, :yikes: and certainly not the flooding.

It is still snowing here but it is very wet.  We are hovering at freezing right now so everything is mushy outside, a mess actually.   The kids will not even be able to play in this stuff tomorrow, the ground is just saturated, they would come in dripping wet after the first slushball.  I am sure that the mountains are getting a load of snow which is actually not good with the warm front that is expected tomorrow and Monday.

We are all under the same stars, therefore we are never far apart.
