The trouble twins were hanging out on the lawn with me today, when Chloe decided to take a nap...

They sure are a lot of fun.  :flower:

Well....I see leashes and I see goats. I do not, however, see Sarah walking them! :D I would have inserted a pouting graemlin, but we don't have one! :giggle:

Those goats are too cute!

They should only get to about 22" at the shoulders, as about the same size as Izzy, the middle sized dog I have. I went with dwarves for thier cuteness factor, and besides, we don't use the amount of milk a standard size goat can produce(up to two gallons a day) , much less two!

Well they sure are cute Sarah.  So how much milk will these two produce?  Two gallons a day for the larger ones is a ton of milk, even we do not go through that much a day!

I can't even imagine trying to find use for 4 gallons of milk a day, as both will be in milk at once.

These two can produce up to 3 quarts a day per goat, but more likely will produce 1 1/2 quarts per day. Still, even 3 quarts total a day is quite a bit of milk. Good thing I like cheese!

That is still a lot of milk.  I do not think we could use that much consistently.  I would be making all kinds of things as well.  Can you make different kinds of cheeses from goats milk?

Anything you would do with cow milk, you can do with goat milk, including butter, cheese, yogurt, and ice cream.  :grinnnn: I can't wait!  :dancingbunny:

That sounds good then.  With all of the different cheeses you can make and the time some of them take to process, you will find plenty of uses for that milk!  Throw in all of the other good stuff and I bet you will be wishing for more milk on some days.

Okay, okay...you caught me. I was hoping you wouldn't notice. :Whis: So much for that idea!

I had Mike take a picture while I had them out.

Chloe ducked behind the tree at the last minute.  :rolleyes1:

Awwwww, Sarah! :grinnnn: You and your kids are just too dadgum cute! :giggle:

I sure would like to have a goat, but I know that Jim wouldn't let me keep it inside with me and let it sleep with us, like Angel. :laugh1: I am sure that they could be house-trained, though. :wink5: Let me know if you try... :rofl1:

Seeing you with those goats, you really see how small they are.  They actually look smaller than my dog.

They are small goats. They have grown a bit in the time they have been here, but not much.

I wanted small and manageable. Looks like I got it!

I love your goats, Sarah!  I don't think I would have too much trouble going through a lot of that milk as long as I had some chocolate syrup to go with it.  ;)

Sarah, was there always that dramatic of a color difference between the two?  I could not tell in the other pictures that one is so much more grey than the other.

 :Whack: :Whack: :Whack:

Why in the world would you show such adorable pictures when you know that Jim won't let me have some goats?

 :SlapSelf:

Dadgummit, Sarah... :tapfoot1:

Nope, as they have aged they have changed considerably. The blonde has lightened, the grey has darkened.

I sure like their colors.

Ouch!  Shhh Dianna! They are not goats! They are a new breed of dog...see this Jim...DOG.  :Halo:

We have three acres that I think they would be perfect for, but when we need to haul boogy, it is a whole lot easier to grab Angel and run.... :laughmao:

Sarah, the ladies are gorgeous. I have been doing some research on them. (My baby brother has a friend that has goats, too!)

Triss, one day we may end up with weed control. Right now we will have to do it ourselves.... :laughpound:

Hey, Honey, they are just puppies that are a little larger than Angel. I bet she would love them! :rofl1:

You and I both Dianna.  One day I will have the space for them as well.  Like I need more in my circus than I have.   :rofl1:

Some new pictures of the brats...

Look at us...don't we look sweet?

Look how nicely we eat our grain  (I missed the shot of them bashing each other with their horns...)
