The day started out a cold 45. It's now a sunshiny dry 73. Perfect.

Hold down the Alt key and type in 248 at the same time... :grinnnn:

It is cooling off again now. I don't mind the cooler evenings, but I sure do dread when it gets really cold outside. 61° outside now...

56.5° right now. supposed to go down to 40° tonight.  again :razberry: i am so not ready for cold weather.

It is supposed to be close to 70 here today.  I am so excited!  I am going to get out and enjoy it. Not good weather for the deer hunters though. 

I can't get the degree symbol to work for me.

Jessica, you have to hold the Alt key down the whole time you are typing the numbers 248. ° Try it again....

Are you sure you are holding the Alt key down all the way?

Anyone else having a problems with it?

Jessica, when you type the ALT 248 or 0176 you have to type the numbers on the keypad.  The ones across the top on the qwerty keyboard won't do it.

Okay, so I have number keys similar to a keypad setup on the letters on my keyboard. So, if I hold down alt and the fn key and use those numbers, it works! °° See!!! :giggle:

the function key.  i'll have to try that.  it works on my desk top at work, but wasn't working on the laptop.  which is why i was using the * key.  tina, there is a key that says num over the keypad.  that has to be pushed to make the key pad work.  otherwise, they are arrow keys.  ok, trying the alt - fn thing...  nope.  didn't work.  and i almost lost my post...

The day started out at 45° with a high of 78°. Not a cloud in the sky, absolutely beautiful today. So much so I my the daughter stop at the beach just so I could take in the view. Starting to cool down now, so I've closed my windows before it get too cool in here.

You can also take a look at Start > Accessories  > System Tools > Character map and select the symbol there.  You copy it and then insert it with CTRL-V.
