Well I got up this moring and finished sewing the "envelope"  then turned it inside out and pinned the 4th side.  Then I stuffed it in the quilt club bag along with everything else.

Then I headed off for the meeting.

First we had a show and tell of what everyone was doing.  I think just about everyone brought one or two projects.  It was really fun to look at everything.  We helped one woman decide on the quilting she wanted to do on her quilt.  And then we decided on the pattern we want to do for the raffle quilt.  Then the Chairwoman read a letter from the American Cancer Society thanking us for the No Ouch Pouches.  And we discussed maybe going to a quilt store that is about an hour away for our next trip.

So now I have to decide if I want to go to the next meeting.  It's going to be all about the raffle quilt.  It's an appliqued, hand blanket stitched flower pattern that I really don't like and way beyond my ability.  So do I go and try to stay out of the way?  Or do I just avoid the issue by not attending that meeting?  I'm not good at these kind of social colundrums.

Thanks all.  Now it's all about the quilting.  And without a frame that's going to be painful.  But the frame thing just isn't going to work.  It happens.

I had a great idea for the quilting in the sashes.  I'm going to do constellations in each section.  It will be black on black so unless someone has really good pattern recognition they won't know what they are looking for.  It will be like a secret sewn right into the quilt.  I'm loving the idea so I just had to let you know what I was up to.

Well today the quilt is pinned and the owl block quilting pattern has been transfered to it.  I even put it in the hated hoop.  Of course the entire block doesn't fit within the hoop but I figured that.

I now own a floor model Q-Snap PVC Quilting Frame.  I just could not stand that hoop.  Crossing my fingers that this works for me.

It went together 1 2 3 and there is room in the livingroom although it is tight walking around.  I'm going to spread things out in there so it doesn't seem to crowded.

I'll put that on the list of pictures to take.

I didn't mention that I got the most fabulous fabric while I was at JoAnn's today did I?

It's a steel blue ultra suede with a running stitch floral design on it.  I love it!  I'm going to use it for a pillow that sits on one of the wingback chair.

Here is a picture of the frame.  With the quilt in it of course.

The pipe is the two inch kind and I like that it feels sturdy.

That is a fantastic quilt frame, Tammy. I think you will get lots of use out of it... :good2:

That is awesome!  I really can get a great idea of how big that quilt is from that picture also.  Enjoy the quilting!

If I may ask, as I need one, where did you get it and how much did it cost?

I got it at JoAnn's and used a 50% off coupon and paid 54.00.

Expensive but considering one set of full length curtains cost around 100.00 and by the time I make the 6 window quilts I want for my home and I think it will have paid for itself.
